Invitation to the World’s First Damascus Steel Traveling Exhibition

The Ring of European Cities with Iron Works invites professional metal designers to participate in the long-planned Damascus steel traveling exhibition. The show is designed for a three-year tour through all 13 communities, starting in mid-2008. It will open during the blacksmith convention and 5th Damascus steel world congress in Kolbermoor, Upper Bavaria at the beginning of August 2008. The deadline for registration is March 1, 2008.
Meanwhile, the Damascus steel boom is nearly 20 years old. Therefore, the initiators of the traveling exhibition – the Ring of European Cities with Iron Works in close cooperation with the “Internationale Gesellschaft für Damaszenerstahlforschung (IGDF)” (International Society for Damascus Steel Research) and the German knife museum in Solingen – expect a high level of interest in the first comprehensive exhibition for this topic.
